Tudor Launches its First Moon Phase Watch – the Tudor 1926 Luna
Tudor has unveiled its first watch equipped with a moon phase complication – the Tudor 1926 Luna.
The watch is named after the year "Tudor" was first registered as a brand under the name of Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf.
The moon phase indicator, formed by polished bevels, is located at 6 o'clock on three new sun-ray dials: champagne, blue, and black.
All three dials are protected by a domed sapphire crystal, slightly domed for a vintage feel, and feature sword-shaped hands and even-numbered Arabic numerals between faceted arrow-shaped hour markers.
The case, made of 316L stainless steel, measures 39 mm x 10.1 mm and features alternating satin-brushed and polished finishes. It has a screw-down crown and caseback and is guaranteed water-resistant to 100 meters/330 feet.
Behind the solid caseback lies the self-winding mechanical movement, Caliber T607-9, which operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a 38-hour power reserve.
The seven-link bracelet features satin-finished outer links and polished center links and secures to the wrist with a folding clasp with a safety lock.
